"For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power of love and a sound mind."

Pastor Joyce Samuels

Christian Counselor & Director of TGP Good Counsel

Pastor Joyce has demonstrated her commitment to holistic healing, naturally and spiritually, by becoming a Licensed Graduate Professional Mental Health Clinician, along with obtaining a degree in Education and a medical certification. Pastor Samuels, is now serving under the tutelage as a Covenant Partner at The Grow Place. She is licensed and ordained as an Elder and affirmed in the Office of Prophetess, which includes certifications in leadership and mentorship trainings.

Pastor Samuels is energized and excited by the endless opportunities to spread the gospel and share God’s love.  Her greatest joy is to help people in need.  She believes that we are most like Christ when we are in service. She has a heart for all people and operates in God’s wisdom to cultivate a love of self, community and service in children, women, men, and marriage. She aligns herself with the voice of God, to serve and meet the needs of people, spiritually and emotionally. As part of her holistic approach, she is a co-director of an empowering monthly symposium called Good Counsel.

Pastor Samuels has a desire to reach all souls, regardless of ethnicity, gender or generation and is an exemplification of a miracle and survivor.  As the literary lead and co-author of the inspirational book, “Rescued for His Glory: Stories of Hope, Triumph and Wholeness”, she brought together 16 women from across the nation to share their testimonies, to have transparent dialogue about the life issues we encounter but suffer silently through. It was a groundbreaking and successful endeavor that created solid spiritual relationships among the women who participated and many of the men and women who read and could see themselves in the shared testimonies.  Her most recent literary endeavors, “Finding Your Voice: The Valley Experience” and “Unshackled”, promises to be another groundbreaking encounter with God for all who takes the journey with the participating authors.

Pastor Samuels is a loving and devoted wife to Deacon Keith D. Samuels, Sr., a passionate mother to her and her five (5) adult children, and an active grandmother to her nine (9) grandchildren.  She is widely known for her powerful prayer life and the gift of faith which fuels her desire to continue learning and growing in Christ so she can continue to teach the truth of the Gospel for the sole purpose of winning souls to the Kingdom.

Our Support Services

Emotional Wellness

One of the most important areas of mental health is emotional wellness. Life can be stressful and we have to learn how to deal with those stresses and adapt to changing situations. We must learn how to manage our emotions and emotional triggers by using healthy coping mechanisms.

Addiction Support

Almost all of us suffer from some kind of addiction. We develop and get attached to unhealthy coping mechanisms. Whether substances or unhealthy behaviors, we can use Christian Counseling practices to help you break the patterns of addiction and find alternate coping strategies.

Trauma Support

Many times we are battling a history of trauma that has never been appropriately addressed, which manifests in our behaviors and decisions. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and spiritual discernment to help others to get to the root of their trauma, address unhealed issues, and unlearn negative behaviors.

Spiritual Healing

As we focus on our natural healing, we can also help to achieve holistic wellness by focusing on spiritual healing. We can strengthen our relationship with God and tap into our God-given purpose. We will help you to unlock untapped potential and enhance your spiritual experience.
